Terms and conditions

These Terms and conditions apply to the HAMAT RUN events (“HAMAT RUN”) organised by PANGAEA (“the Organiser”, “we” or “us”) inside shopping malls, and to your use of the website runs.pangaeaclub.net. By registering for an event or using the website, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them.

1. Registration and participation

• The events are open to all ages: runners, walkers, families and children.
• You must register in advance through the official channel (runs.pangaeaclub.net) and complete payment. A registration is confirmed only once payment has succeeded and been verified by our server, not simply because you reached the payment page.
• Children under 12 must be supervised and accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event. Minors must be registered by a parent or guardian, or with their consent.
• The details you enter (name, e-mail address and mobile number) must be correct and up to date. We use them to send your confirmation and entry code and to contact you when needed.
• Places are limited for each event and each distance, and are allocated in the order payments are completed. A place is held for about 10 minutes while you pay, then released automatically if payment isn’t completed.
• You must attend at the date and time announced for each event.

2. Fees and payment

• Prices are shown in Saudi riyals, and the price for each distance is displayed clearly before you pay.
• Payment is made through approved online payment gateways. We do not store your bank card details on our website.
• Registration fees are subject to the Refund policy published on the website.

3. Entry QR code

• A personal entry QR code is sent to you once your registration is confirmed. It also appears on the confirmation page and in your account.
• The code is personal and valid for a single entry. It must not be shared or published. Any copy of it will not grant entry if the code has already been used.
• You may be asked to show valid ID for verification at the gate.

4. Safety and personal responsibility

• Participants take part at their own risk. The mall management and the Organiser accept no liability for personal injury or loss of personal belongings, except where liability arises directly under the applicable law.
• We recommend that you make sure you are fit and healthy before covering the chosen distance, and that you consult a doctor if in doubt.

5. Following the route and the timings

• Participants must stay strictly on the indoor route set by the organisers and not leave it, to keep everyone safe and avoid disturbing the shops.
• Participants must keep to the start and finish times so that regular mall visitors are not obstructed. Entry may be closed once the event has started.

6. Dress and sportswear

• Comfortable sportswear and shoes suitable for running or walking in an enclosed venue are required.
• Please avoid clothing with logos or slogans that are inappropriate or offensive.

7. Conduct and respect for visitors

• Because the event takes place in a public shopping environment, please be considerate to other visitors and do not cause a nuisance or block the walkways.
• Follow the instructions of the organising team and mall security at all times. The Organiser may remove anyone who breaks these rules, without a refund.

8. Photography and media

The Organiser may take photos and videos during the event and use them for marketing and for posting on social media and in the press, without objection from participants. If you would like a photo or video in which you clearly appear not to be published, please contact us.

9. Changes, postponement and cancellation by the Organiser

The Organiser may change an event’s schedule or venue, postpone it or cancel it for organisational, security, regulatory or weather reasons, or for any circumstance beyond its control. We will let you know at the e-mail address you registered with. In these cases the Refund policy applies.

10. Non-transferable registrations

A registration is personal. It may not be sold, assigned or transferred to anyone else without the Organiser’s prior written consent.

11. Customer account

• An account may be created for you when you make your first paid registration, or when you sign up on the website. You can log in with your own password, with a code sent to your e-mail address, or with your Google account.
• You are responsible for keeping your e-mail account and Google account secure, and for all activity under your account.

12. Intellectual property

All content on the website, including logos, designs, text and images, belongs to the Organiser or is used under licence. It may not be copied or reused without written permission.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by the applicable law, the Organiser is not liable for any harm to a participant or their property during the event, except where liability arises directly under the law. In all cases the Organiser’s liability does not exceed the registration fee paid. This does not affect any right that cannot lawfully be waived.

14. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in line with the Privacy policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with its date. If you keep using the website or take part after an update, you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the competent courts in Riyadh have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
